Jewel Goodbye Alice In Wonderland CD Review
Jewel has released a dandy of a CD entitled Alice In Wonderland.
It’s an outstanding collection of gorgeous ballads and engaging introspection, and she has never sounded better articulating her usual territories of life and love.
The most obvious characteristic of Alice In Wonderland is how completely relaxed the vocals are on the CD. With songs like Good Day and Again and Again clearly, the young lady who wrote Pieces of You has grown up.
Other gems on this CD include the 1000 Miles Away and Long Slow Slide.
Alice In Wonderland is probably Jewel’s best release to date. Very enjoyable.
Jewel’s voice is still impressively clear and her ability to glide in and out of melody is simply fantastic.
Overall Alice In Wonderland is an outstanding release. What I call, must have music. I give it two thumbs up.
While this entire CD is outstanding the truly standout tunes are Again and Again [track 1], Goodbye Alice in Wonderland [track 3], and Drive To You [track 8]. My SmoothLee Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 13, 1000 Miles Away. Very nice!
